Dr. Anthony Catanese, PhD,
Emeritus President of Florida Institute Technology
Dr. Actanese was a university administrator, author, and the President and CEO of the Florida Institute of Technology, Prior to his position at the Florida Institute of Technology, Catanese was President of Florida Atlantic University, Catanese previously served as President and Chairman of the President's council of the Sunshine State Conference.
He has also held university administration positions at Pratt Institute in New York City, the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, the University of Miami and the Georgia Institute of Technology. Catanese was Senior Fulbright Professor at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia.
 

Satellite Technology
Dr. John Hsing 邢長城博士
Project manager, Intelsat Inc. & Aerospace Co. (Retired).
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, University of Massachusetts
Dr. John C. Hsing received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Taiwan University and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. His career has been dedicated to satellite engineering and focused on communications satellites and weather satellites for 40 years. Over the course of his career Dr. Hsing has worked at COMSAT, Intelsat and the Aerospace Corporation and has been involved with satellite procurement, satellite program technical monitoring and satellite operations. At the Aerospace Corporation, he served as the Project Lead in Program System Engineering of the U.S. weather satellite (GOES-R) Program Office. Prior to being the Systems Engineering Manager at Intelsat, Dr. Hsing managed engineers working on satellite attitude control and orbit control for different communications satellites produced by all major satellite manufacturers around the world.

Lu Li is a member of Willis Towers Watson Risk Consulting and Software segment with significant predictive modeling experience. She is part of the core team for Willis Towers Watson’s Big Data Initiative. She is an expert in GLMs and has significant experience in machine learning methods, data structures, and programming in various tools. She helps develop and implement statistical models to solve various business challenges including profitability, marketing strategy and operational optimization.

Dr. Shin Tson Wu 吳詩聰博士
Professor, CREOL, University of Central
Ph.D. in Laser Physics from University of Southern California (Los Angeles)
Dr. Shin-Tson Wu is Pegasus professor at the College of Optics and Photonics, University of Central Florida (UCF). He is among the first six inductees to the Florida Inventors Hall of Fame. He is a Charter Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, and a Fellow of the IEEE, OSA, SID, and SPIE. He is the recipient of OSA Esther Hoffman Beller Medal (2014), Honorary professor of Nanjing University (2013), SID Slottow-Owaki Prize (2011), OSA Joseph Fraunhofer Award (2010), SPIE G. G. Stokes Award (2008), and SID Jan Rajchman Prize (2008).

Optics and photonics - Laser Communication
Dr. Guifang Li 李桂芳博士
Ph.D. Electrical Engineering, University of Wisconsin at Madison
currently Professor of Optics and ECE at the University of Central Florida. Professor Li has been engaged in research in the field of fiber-optic communication his entire career. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is the recipient of the NSF CAREER Award and the ONR Young Investigator Award. He holds twenty eight US patents. He co-founded Optium based on two of his patents. Optium, the first UCF venture-based company, went public in 2006. He has published over 300 journal and conference articles. He served as a Deputy Editor for Optics Express, and associate editors for Optical Networks, Chinese Optics Letters and IEEE Photonics Technology Letters. He currently serves as the Overseas Associate Editor-in-Chief of Frontiers of Optoelectronics, and an Associate Editor for Optica and the IEEE Photonics Journal.

Dr. Tiauw Hiong "Yongki" Go
Associate professor, Florida Institute Technology
Sc.D. in Aeronautics & Astronautics, MIT, Cambridge, MA, 1999
"Yongki" worked at MIT’s Man-Vehicle Laboratory and Center for Transportation and Logistics as a Postdoctoral Associate and later on as a Research Engineer. His work at MIT includes dynamics and control of aircraft wing rock, spacecraft attitude control using geomagnetic field, simulator motion effects on airline pilot training, and environmental impact of aviation. 
Prior to joining
Florida Institute Technology, he was at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore as an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering where successfully guided students in various projects involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).

Dr. Chia-Yuan Yu  于嘉元博士
Assistant professor, University of Central Florida
Ph.D. , Urban and Regional Science, Texas A&M University

Chia-Yuan Yu has a strong interest in quantitative methodology in examining built environment-public health and built environment-traffic safety relationships. His work has highlighted the designs of multi-level built environments in affecting public health, travel behaviors, and travel safety. His focus is in transportation planning, sustainable transportation, traffic safety, and disparity issues in planning.
